Our Story

In 1984, So.ce.ca. s.r.l. (Società Costruzioni Edili Cemento Armato) was established following the transformation of the sole proprietorship “Rimoldi Enrico” into a joint-stock company. The Rimoldi enterprise had been active in the Province of Varese since the 1950s.

The Rimoldi company, founded in 1950 by Knight of Labor Enrico Rimoldi, primarily operated in the public works sector (schools, kindergartens, gyms, etc.) until the mid-1980s, when Giovanni and Alberto, the founder’s sons, decided to modernize and reorganize the business. They transformed it into a joint-stock company, broadening the scope of its contracts to include the industrial and residential construction sectors.

In 2004, the Soceca Group s.r.l. was established, comprising the following operational companies:

  • Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l., a construction company;
  • Se. Ci. s.r.l., an engineering and equipment rental company;
  • Real. Vi. s.r.l., a real estate company dedicated to the promotion and sale of its properties.

Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l. maintained its registered office in Saronno (VA) until December 2022. The company also kept its technical offices there until 2007, when it relocated to a new logistics headquarters in the industrial area of Cislago (VA). This facility houses the technical and administrative offices, while an adjacent structure accommodates industrial buildings used for operations, as well as the storage of equipment, tools, and construction materials.

As of December 29, 2022, following the company’s transformation into a Benefit Corporation, the new name became SOCECA Costruzioni s.r.l. – Società Benefit. On the same date, the registered office was updated: the company’s new address is 21040 CISLAGO (VA), Via Maestri del Lavoro 120. The operational headquarters, offices, and corporate data remained unchanged.

Our Core Business

The core business of Soceca s.r.l., which later became Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l. – Società Benefit, is construction in the industrial sector on behalf of third parties.

This activity includes the redesign of production layouts, the construction of special foundations, and the adaptation of buildings to comply with current regulations (structural and fire safety). Additionally, Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l. handles the construction, renovation, and maintenance of industrial buildings for its clients, whether they are individual companies or international groups operating in the Lombardy region.

Alongside its industrial operations, Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l. – Società Benefit is active in the public works sector. Since 1990, it has been registered with the SOA S.p.A. Register of Qualified Public Works Builders (CQOP), which certifies the company’s eligibility to participate in and execute public works projects.

Residential Construction

Another key sector of activity for Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l. – Società Benefit is the construction of private residential properties, both for its own portfolio and on behalf of third parties. This activity has been particularly established in Lombardy, Liguria, and Piedmont.

Since 1996, Soceca s.r.l. has been among the first in the industry to obtain quality management system certification. Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l. has been certified since 1999 according to international standards and applies a Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001 standards.

These certifications have been maintained over the years and continue to this day, supported by the daily work of Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l. – Società Benefit employees. They recognize the company’s commitment to upholding high professional standards.

The company’s policy, in line with Quality certifications, aims to meet every client’s needs by resolving design challenges and, where necessary, offering improvements to pre-existing projects. Furthermore, during the construction process, the company uses innovative and high-performance materials to ensure that its clients’ quality requirements are met.

Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l. – Società Benefit guarantees rapid interventions while respecting delivery timelines. All work is consistently monitored by the company’s in-house technical team to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of its products and services.

Housing Contest

In 2012, Soceca Costruzioni s.r.l. – Società Benefit, in collaboration with the PRR Architetti studio, participated in a European competition called Housing Contest. This initiative was promoted by the Department of Urban Planning and Private Construction of the Municipality of Milan, Assimpredil Ance, the Order of Architects of the Province of Milan, IN/ARCH Lombardy Section, and FederlegnoArredo.

The project developed by the company received the highest rating of four stars (stars represented the qualitative assessment given by the jury on the project’s merit) and ranked among the top thirty companies in the competition.

The Housing Contest is a repository of projects for high-performance, low-cost residential buildings, designed to deliver superior-quality public housing compared to what has been constructed to date.

The best goals are achieved through cooperation.
